Note: Unless otherwise indicated all meetings of the Bay County Historical Society are held at 7:00 pm at the Historic McKenzie House, 17 E. 3rd Court, Panama City, Florida.
The Society takes a hiatus in July and August.
October 21, 2008 - Moonshine Mayhem -
Moonshining memories of Northwest Florida and the greater Southeastern United
States
Marlene Womack will discuss her newest book that was released in
July 2008. Join us as she talks about the passion, the politics and the
indelible impact that two centuries of moonshining had on the southeastern
part of the country. The
meeting will be at 7:00 pm at the Historic McKenzie House, 17 E. 3rd Court,
Panama City, Florida.
November 18, 2008 - Migration
Jackie Hogan will talk to us about her Sorensen family's move from
Minot, North Dakota to Panama City in 1929 and her family involvement with Bay
Head Dairy. The meeting
will be at 7:00 pm at the Historic McKenzie House, 17 E. 3rd Court,
Panama City, Florida.
December 16, 2008 - Annual Christmas meeting and social. Program to be announced. The meeting will be at 7:00 pm at the Historic McKenzie House, 17 E. 3rd Court, Panama City, Florida.
Second Sunday at the McKenzie House
The McKenzie House Foundation and the Historical Society of Bay County are bringing back the afternoon entertainment on the 2nd Sunday of each month at the McKenzie House, 17 E. 3rd Court from 2:00 to 3:30. Entertainment begins at 2:15 and light refreshments will follow the entertainment.

Music
Bay High's ensemble, "Cantiamo", will be performing at the McKenzie
House on Dec. 14th. They will sing Christmas music, traditional
and contemporary. "Cantiamo" members are also members of Bay
High's Concert Choir and Women's Chorale.
